After spending countless hours psychoanalyzing herself to no avail, she ultimately comes to the conclusion that the only “daddy issue” at play here is the fact that her dad is ready to bury this man for what he’s done to his little girl. Penned by Sean Small, Sam Sumser and Emily Weisband and co-produced by Shaylen alongside award-winning producer Julian Raymond, “Daddy Issues” further solidifies Shaylen’s place as a standout vocalist and a resonant artist.

“Daddy Issues” marks Shaylen’s first release of 2025 and her second solo release since signing with Nashville Harbor Records & Entertainment last year. “To Tell You The Truth,” which All Country News describes as “a perfect showcase of the singer-songwriter’s ability to channel her personal life into powerful lyrics that resonate universally,” was released last fall and has connected with fans for its vulnerable message and relatability.
