Providing fans with a taste of what’s to come on Leaving Hollywood, “Bipolar Heart” finds Something Out West reflecting on the frustration that ensues when your partner just can’t make up their mind. Riddled with mixed messages, the relationship is left teetering between a constant battle of push and pull. The heartbreaking track is the duo’s most stripped-back offering to date, expertly supported by Chet’s gritty and emotive vocal performance. “Bipolar Heart” follows the duo’s latest release, “You Better Run,” – whose video garnered nearly a half a million views in its first week of release – and the EP title track, “Leaving Hollywood.” Watch the music video for “You Better Run” here

“When we sat down to write ‘Bipolar Heart,’ I played the chorus I had started for my drummer, and we worked together to finish the song. Although I’m older now and can appreciate the stability of a healthy relationship, there’s just something exciting about when you’re young and you have those relationships that are rooted in those highs and lows, ups and downs. I think Chet brought a whole new life and interpretation to it vocally as well,” shared Drew Arthur.

Comprised of Drew Arthur, a Nashville-based singer-songwriter from Florida, known for his introspective lyrics and dynamic melodies, and Chet Hanks, who currently stars in Netflix’s new #1 hit series “Running Point” as basketball star/aspiring musician Travis Bugg, Something Out West has crafted a unique sound that blends Nashville’s music scene with fresh, contemporary influences. Already featured on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” “The Drew Barrymore Show,” “TODAY,” Esquire, Bustle, Billboard, MusicRow and more, the duo is picking up speed and just getting started.
