NEW YORK, NY (September 7, 2022) – Hot on the heels of her Ryman Auditorium debut, Tiera Kennedy took the stage on NBC’s TODAY for her first appearance this morning. TODAY host Hoda Kotb and guest host Bobby Bones introduced the rising artist before she launched into the song that accelerated her dreams into reality, “Found It In You” (The Valory Music Co.) The track is currently ascending at Country radio while racking up over 18 million streams to date. Watch her performance here.

Just hours before their national TV appearance together, Kennedy announced on The Bobby Bones Show that her new song “Alabama Nights” will be released on September 23. Available for fans to pre-save today, the Birmingham native brings growing up good-time home with the unreleased track as she distills all the whirling joyousness of nightfall in the towns of her home state. Kennedy has been teasing the track at her live shows throughout the year which has included set at the year’s biggest festivals C2C: Country to Country, CMA Fest, Faster Horses, Windy City Smokeout and more.

Kennedy returns to the small screen next week with a special performance of “From This Moment On” honoring Shania Twain at ACM Honors, airing September 13 at 8/7c on FOX. The singer/songwriter shared on social media how the need for an outfit change at the show led to a special moment between the pair as Shania helped her pick what to wear and lent her a pair of earrings for the unforgettable occasion.

Lighting a fire last year with her independently released self-titled EP, Nashville Scene cited the Alabama native as “the total package” and “a writer who has learned how to write for their own voice at a young age,” while American Songwriter concurs, hailing her as “one of Nashville’s most promising young singer/songwriters” and TEEN VOGUE raved about her “pure, catchy upbeat country story-telling.” As the host of Apple Music Country’s The Tiera Show, Tiera Kennedy puts her stamp on Country music daily, landing on several of 2022’s most impressive Artist to Watch Lists, including CMT’s Listen Up, MusicRow’s Next Big Thing and Pandora’s Country Artist to Watch.
